The NEW and Exciting Student / Parent Technical Site!

In the event, we are online for class, these are the county Virtual Expectations:
1. School dress is required.
2. Camera must be on at all times. (This is a requirement from the School Board.)
3. Have your microphone on mute.
4. Use the raised hand feature of Teams to ask a question.
5. Make sure you are in a quiet place with no other distractions.
6. Have your supplies near you (textbooks, pencils, folders, journals, etc.).
7. If your microphone doesn't work, type answers or responses into the chat bar.
Some things to remember:
1. Check back to your calendar throughout the day for your next meeting.
2. Teachers' technology can have lag, shut down, or not work too.
3. If you are not able to log into an assignment, program, or meeting, let the teacher know immediately.
4. Some tasks will be for grades and there are expiration dates / times in place.
5. All of your password and log in information is in your Teams Class Notebook.

Tips
General
-VPortal login: user - [email protected] (ex: [email protected]) password: 8 digit birthday (ex: 02182012)
-Students must log into their I-ready and Canvas account daily. This helps us as teachers know how we can support you.
-If you encounter an issue with your password, contact your teacher immediately so they can help resolve the issue.
Communication
-Your teacher is available to you for video conferencing and instruction through Microsoft Teams. I am here to help you.
-Teams can be found in the Office 365 VPortal app. Search "all apps" if it doesn't appear on your dashboard.
Devices and Browsers
-The I-Ready program is not compatible with Kindle or Android tablets.
-Yes, any desktop or laptop should work as long as you are in the correct browser. (not Edge or Explorer)
-Google Chrome is the preferred browser.
-Make sure your browser is up to date or you will see an error.
Ipad Specific
-Make sure your device is up to date. Safari should work, but if not, try Google.
-You must have the Canvas app on the ipad in order to go on Canvas (directions in "Important Documents" section above).
-If you have an ipad on loan from the district, the app store is disabled. There is a software center you can download county approved instructional applications.

Problems with your account?
Is your VPortal, canvas, or Office 365 account saying no account exists or credentials not valid?
There are 2 ways to troubleshoot this:
1. Clear browser data in settings before having another student log-in
2. Click the 3 dots circled below and FORGET the account they default to…the family’s home account.
If you still have issues AFTER doing these things successfully, contact your teacher to reset your account.
